Here's a new one from my Tree Nocturne Series of an old desolate street.
Again I paint the warm glow of an orange sodium street light which plays so beautifully against the cool blue night.
Under the tree the fire hydrant hides in the shadow guarded by the red curb.241

Once again images are uploading with poor quality. I made some adjustments but a more accurate image can be found at DAILY PAINTWORKS.
This problem seems to come and go. Oh mercy!

**I have updated this post with a 'fixed' photo. This is how it should have looked in the first place.

  1. I follow your last pictures. There feeling inside the paint. You transmit things through colors. You're right and also your pictures work. Avoid the obvious. The viewer must feel. Participate.

  2. Hi ricardo,
Thank you. I am happy you see this too and get this kind of response from it. I can only try to put down in paint what it is I see and feel myself. If I am able to communicate it to others then I have done something right.

    Keep painting...

  4. Thanks Michael,
Glad you too respond to this, especially since it was a quick, off the cuff little study from my memory. I do enjoy these little excursions. I love the night.

I have done many of these in the past, some here on my blog; nocturnes, trees. Unfortunately some I never got good photos of before they sold, oh well.

    Keep painting...
