Marker Drawings 9

Sketchbook drawings
ballpoint pen, Sharpie markers bullet and fine point, Copic value markers, Prismacolor warm grey marker, gel ink pen, 2015
sketchbook 6" x 8" (15.24cm x 20.32cm)

4 more if you have been following these recent Marker Drawings.
I used a new Prismacolor warm grey 40% on two of these. More experimenting with different techniques. I'm all over the place as far as that goes but that is the point. Just do whatever comes to mind, the very nature of sketching is searching. More on that to follow.358,359,360,361

  1. Love your night scenes David and also the movement of the vehicle in number 5!...
...Here's another comparison for you... I have noticed that many Americans pronounce vehicle as "veehickle" whereas we pronounce is as "veeicle". Maybe it varies amongst the many different states? I do love the differences in our accents!

    1. Thanks Wendy, I love the nocturne as you know, the mornings not so much since I am a night owl!

Yes, we do pronounce the "h", at least most of us. In the South they might leave it out too as they like to skip letters.
I knew an Aussie who pronounced fifteen as "fideen", no second "f" and a "dee" sound!

    2. He must have been a real laid-back Aussie that one!!

    3. Yeah, he was laid all the way back, until it was time to work. ; )

  2. Hey Buddy! I am still out here in blog land checking out your great work! Been a bit under the weather lately but hoping to rebound soon. Love all your sketchbook drawings and your gallery photos! Take care and keep on making and sharing your great art! Michael

  3. Hey Buddy! Glad to hear from you, sorry you have been under the weather lately... at least you are not under the gun or behind the eight ball though!
Thanks, I have been enjoying the simple pleasure-no-pressure drawing lately.
Hope to see you back to painting and posting soon. I look in on your blog waiting.
    Keep painting...
